Blood
and Guts
Grade 5
Students begin their study of the human body with the
skeletal system. They observe the bones from an entire leg of lamb,
and see how tendons and ligaments are necessary for motion. Students
explore a lamb femur and identify spongy bone, red blood cells, bone
marrow, and the artery tunnel. Many thanks to the wonderful
teacher and students who provided these pictures!
