Happy Valley School - First Grade

These photos show Mrs. Facer's class in action as Joy Rosenberg and Dorothy Owens present the Chinese New Year unit at Happy Valley School. This unit is presented in January and provides a first-hand look at Chinese New Year, learning its beliefs and customs. Many hands-on artifacts are included to help this culture come to life for the students, along with a look at food, clothing, music, storytelling, and the decorative designs of China. An art project is included as part of the Gung Hay Fat Choy unit.
