Mural
Lafayette Elementary School Grades 2 & 5
Thanks to LASF funding, Lafayette School 2nd and 5th graders had the privilege of working with Oakland muralist George Somers. For three days in October, Mr. Somers helped the children transfer their drawings of fish to a canvas he had prepared. The completed mural will be displayed in the school's multi-purpose room. Mr. Somers will return in the spring to work with additional students on a mural depicting the eco-system of Mt. Diablo.
