Hall of Science Underwater World Festival
Lafayette Elementary School - grades K-5
Sponsored by LASF, the Underwater World Festival was
an opportunity for students to explore a variety of creatures that
live in or around oceans, ponds and streams. Participants moved
from one activity station to another, exploring the beach to find
skeletons of spineless creatures, touching and handling aquatic
animals, and using microscopes to explore the hidden world of the
sea. Each participant had an opportunity to take home a fish print,
a map of fish movements, and a marine mammal designed during the
festival. In addition, each person was able to create a plant or
animal to add to the LHS underwater habitat mural to be displayed
at school.
