Loved that "Love LASF" Fall Event
 |
There were so many things to love about LASF’s Annual Event this past Saturday night – the gorgeous setting, the fantastic food, the glamorous gaming, the ritzy raffles and the rock on band. But the generous support of LASF by party donors and attendees across Lafayette tops the love chart; so many people opened their hearts and their wallets to show just how much our community cares about providing Lafayette students with an excellent education.
|
| Finally, please join LASF in thanking and congratulating event co-chairs Vangie Long and Ramona Diaz and their team of creative and hardworking committee chairs: Carrie Barlow, Patty Gonser, Jodi Kittinger, Jennifer Larson, Kathy Lefanowicz, Shoshana Mark, Chris McCann, Colleen McCarty, John McCormick, Wendy Poling, Stephenie Teichman, Cece Vohs Cimino, Nancy Wallace Ishii and Maureen Wickline.
“Love LASF” Sign-Up Parties Now Open to All
While party attendees had first dibs on Sign-Up Party seats, there are still many phenomenal parties to join. From a Louisiana Bayou party to a comedy night at Town Hall Theatre, there is truly a spot on party for everyone. Check out the available parties by clicking here or all LASF at 299-1644 to reserve and pay for your seats.

Are You New to Lafayette Schools? Meet LASF!
If your family is attending a Lafayette school for the first time, you are just beginning to enjoy the quality enrichment education brought to your child by LASF, the Lafayette Arts & Science Foundation. This volunteer- and parent-driven education foundation provides curriculum and financial support in the arts, sciences, technology and beyond for Lafayette public school students. You will always know when your child has had LASF at school because that is what they will talk about when you ask, “How was your day?”
How does LASF do it? Every year, each Lafayette school family is asked to make a donation to help cover the cost of an LASF education for each of its school-age children. Please consider a donation. Also consider donating your time as a volunteer. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated.
Donate on-line or use our printable donation
form to make your tax-deductible donation.

4TH GRADE GOLD RUSH UNIT
Beginning in April, all 4th
grade students will receive a first-hand look at the Gold Rush experience.
Through the LASF Gold Rush unit, they will see what it was like
to prepare for the trip to the gold fields, experience the hard
work of mining and the excitement and disappointments of gold fever,
and share stories of real miners, entrepreneurs, and settlers.
Students make a gold poke, pan for gold, use old fashioned laundry
tools, and learn about the Gold Rush through hands-on experiences.
Artifacts are displayed nd discussed.
Share
with your child the excitement of the LASF Gold Rush unit by viewing

Twenty four lucky kids from our elementary
schools just had their LASF artwork professionally framed as a donation
from Fastframe of Lafayette. Look for these masterpieces
as they travel throughout the City -- Fastframe of Lafayette, Town
Hall Theatre, Chow Restaurant, and Papillon Cafe. Many thanks
to Fastframe owner Anthony Ruiz for his generous donation of time,
talent and materials over the last four years to showcase Lafayette
children's artwork.
Artwork for this tour was randomly selected
from a raffle called “Luck of the Draw,” held during
the spring LASF Art Fairs at each elementary school. Read more information
